Blue Telescope designs four interactive projects for Liberty Science Center

Blue Telescope, the interactive exhibit agency, has been commissioned to create four interactive projects that will educate and entertain visitors at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ.

As part of Liberty Science Center’s upcoming “Cooking: The Exhibition” installation, Blue Telescope is developing the programs utilizing a variety of technological platforms. The projects will provide engaging ways for visitors of all ages to explore the cultural and nutritional significance of the foods we eat, and to virtually experiment with cooking techniques and tools.

“Celebration Cooking” will present a variety of ceremonial meals from different cultures and traditions presented on an interactive tabletop and corresponding wall-based video.

“Color Meal” interactive stations will allow visitors to create virtual paintings using the diverse colors of healthy foods and assess their artwork’s nutritional value and diversity.

In “Virtual Cooking,” visitors will use physical objects on an interactive countertop to learn about the process and science of stovetop cooking.

“Results from the Oven” will present a virtual cooking experience focusing on preparing meals using an oven.

“Cooking: The Exhibition” is slated to open late 2011 at Liberty Science Center. Two travelling versions of the exhibits are scheduled to debut in 2012.
