Blue Telescope delivers microsite for Rubin Museum of Art

Blue TelescopeBlue Telescope, the interactive exhibit agency, has completed a microsite that will educate and entertain visitors to New York City’s Rubin Museum of Art in support of their exhibit “Hero, Villain, Yeti: Tibet in Comics.” Blue Telescope developed the site specifically to be used at the museum, using QR codes and mobile devices to provide engaging ways for visitors to explore the exhibit on comics and the Himalayas.

The “Hero, Villain, Yeti” microsite incorporates event listings, a blog and several games and activities. “Caption Contest” gives users the opportunity to submit humorous captions or titles to accompany original comic panels created for the website. “Comics Revealed” presents head to head comparisons of characters, locations, and items that appear frequently in Himalayan art with modern portrayals from comicRubin Museum of Artbooks of the last 60 years.

“Personality Quiz” asks a series of multiple choice questions to determine the visitor’s inner comic persona. Are they a heroic crime fighter, a diabolical villain, or the fearsome and monstrous yeti?

The interactive technological presence ensures a unique spin on the physical exhibit and helps extend the experience beyond the walls of the museum.
