Audit confirms record attendance at 2015 International CES

Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), owner and producer of International CES, announced that the independent audit of the 2015 International CES, performed by Veris Consultingis now available on CESweb.org.

The audit confirms that attendance at the 2015 CES reached a record 176,676 industry professionals (a 10 percent increase from the 2014 CES) from 153 countries, with 48,833 attendees coming from outside the U.S. (a 19.6 percent increase from the 2014 CES).

Additionally, 6,952 media attended the show to report on the latest consumer technologies and trends, resulting in more than 950 million media impressions. CES also had a solid presence on social media with more than 750,000 mentions of #CES2015 during the four days of the show and 7.51 billion total potential Twitter impressions, which is nearly the world’s population.

The independent audit, performed by Veris Consulting, LLC, confirms CES’ status as the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. CEA confirmed that CES also featured more than 3,600 exhibiting companies across more than 2.23 million net square feet of exhibit space.

As CES and the consumer technology industry continue to grow, CEA is implementing stricter credential requirements aimed to keep CES 2016 attendance at 176,000 or close to a level comparable to the 2015 CES, to ensure the highest quality experience for all in attendance.
