The Anaheim Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau (AOCVCB) has hired a new director of the meeting and convention solutions department. This person’s responsibilities include interfacing with the sales department, meeting and event clients, destination promotion and convention service management.
Stacey Geyer began her hospitality career at the Hilton Anaheim, followed by Opryland Hotel, The Palmer House Hilton, and the Chicago Convention &Tourism Bureau. During her 15 years with the Chicago CTB, she held the positions of director of convention services and director of promotions and special events, and was responsible for the Bureau’s annual member fundraising events, client events and meetings and tradeshow logistics.
“I’m very proud to be promoting my hometown, and I look forward to elevating the visibility of our team and our entire destination,” said Geyer. “I believe that Anaheim and Orange County are an ideal meeting location for a multitude of reasons, from our world-class convention center to the year-round fabulous weather and its unique meeting campus environment.”
The Meeting & Convention Solutions Department was recently renamed from the Convention Services Department to better reflect its objectives and overall mission.
