Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), a provider of meeting planning resources, expanded its sales team with a regional vice president of sales for the South region.
Bringing extensive experience, Michelle White is responsible for leading ALHI’s Global Sales team in ALHI’s South Region, which stretches from the Carolinas through Texas.
“We are fortunate to match Michelle, who has been actively serving the Southeast region in her past duties, with an opening we created to help us keep up with the growing demand for our ALHI GSO services, at a time when family prompted her move East,” said Jim Schultenover, president, ALHI. “We know Michelle and her many strengths and character will enable us to continue to serve the market responsibly for our members while enabling Ashly Balding to focus on incremental areas in her division.”
White reports to ALHI Division Vice President Ashly Balding, who had previously served as a regional vice president of sales for several years. A highly respected hospitality industry sales professional, White will also serve executives and meeting professionals, association executives, and convention specialists with ALHI’s Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and professional sales support for its portfolio of hotels and resorts worldwide.
“We’ve enjoyed the privilege of working with Michelle for the past 10 years during her MGM Resorts International tenure, and know what an outstanding talent she is, with tremendous dedication and great sales and leadership skills,” said Balding. “She will be a valuable advocate for ALHI clients in the South region and our worldwide portfolio of hotels and resorts, effectively identifying and coordinating specific site solutions for meetings, conventions and incentive programs.”
White comes to ALHI from the 5,034-room MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas and the 1,728-room The Signature at MGM Grand, which are long-time ALHI Member resorts. She served for the past four years as the associate director of sales. Prior to that, she served MGM Resorts International for six years as the associate director of sales.
She previously worked as the senior national sales manager at Las Vegas’ 3,220-room Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and the 1,117-room THEhotel (soon to be rebranded the Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay), also members of ALHI. Her earlier experience includes serving as sales manager for Wyndham Hotels in Colorado Springs for eight years.
