AIPC president re-elected for second term

The CEO of International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has been re-elected as the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) president for a second term.

Geoff Donaghy’s re-election was announced at the AIPC Annual Conference in Boston in July 2015.

AIPC is the industry association for professional convention and exhibition center managers worldwide. AIPC represents a global network of more than 175 leading centers in 58 countries with the active involvement of over 900 management-level professionals.

Donaghy was the first president of the international association to be appointed from the Asia Pacific region.

Speaking of his re-election, he said, “AIPC is committed to encouraging and recognizing excellence in convention center management while at the same time providing the tools to achieve such high standards through its research, educational and networking programs. It is a great honor to be recognized and trusted by my global peers to continue working in such a unique position amongst the various organizations that represent the meetings industry.”
