Access TCA celebrates 30 years with 30 causes

On May 1, 1985, the state of Delaware notified Mike Yag that his application to incorporate Access TCA, Inc. had been approved. He hurried to the bank, opened a new account and took check # 0001 to the company landlord, Whitinsville Redevelopment Trust office, and Access was in business.

To celebrate Access’ 30 years of continuous, organic growth, the company has launched it “30 Causes” charitable initiative. Spanning the course of 30 weeks, “30 Causes” will select a charitable organization each week from employee recommendations, and that group will receive $100. The first week’s donation was sent to the USO in memory of Corporate John Dawson, a local hero who was killed in Afghanistan last month. The winner for the second week was Imagination Library, an organization built by Dolly Parton to foster the love of reading.

“From the very beginning, Access has involved itself in our local communities, supporting and participating in the work of various organizations,” said Amy Sondrup, Principal and Managing Director. “Celebrating this important milestone with philanthropy is an expression of our corporate culture. And of course, we are very happy to be entering our fourth decade!”
