Meet AC, a tourism economic development agency, welcomed back the Triple Play REALTOR Convention and Trade Expo who have signed a three year contract extension to remain in Atlantic City for 2016, 2017 and 2018.
The Triple Play REALTOR three-year contract extension brings a combined $14.4 million economic impact to Atlantic City.
“We are thrilled that the Triple Play REALTOR Convention has elected to remain with us here in Atlantic City through 2018,” said Jim Wood, president and CEO, Meet AC. “Meet AC is committed to growing the convention business in Atlantic City.”
The tri-state event, which is co-sponsored by the New Jersey, New York State and Pennsylvania association of REALTORS, is now in its 15th year at the Atlantic City Convention Center (ACCC). Prior to the Triple Play event, the New Jersey REALTORS had held their annual convention in Atlantic City since 1917.
Maureen Murphy, show manager, Triple Play REALTOR Convention, cited a good working relationship with venue as part of the reason for the extension.
“The Meet AC team and Atlantic City Convention Center staff have been amazing partners in our convention planning process and we couldn’t have asked for a better understanding of the needs of our group and their help to make our events a success. Our decision to remain in Atlantic City has been a long time in the making.”
Triple Play REALTOR Convention attracts more than 8,000 attendees, which includes 80 educational sessions from top industry experts and a 325-booth trade expo. The annual estimated economic impact derived from their convention is more than $4.8 million annually.
